5 year strategic plan presented to Waiohiki marae

On 19 August 2025, Te Taiwhenua o Te Whanganui ā Orotū continued its journey of presenting the 5-Year Strategic Plan, this time gathering with the whānau of Waiohiki Marae.

Te Taiwhenua Chair, Hori Reti, joined with Waiohiki Marae Committee Chair, Hinewai Ormsby, to share the plan, listen to kōrero, and engage in meaningful discussions about the future. A key focus of the hui was marae resilience — exploring how Te Taiwhenua can best support Waiohiki and its whānau to strengthen their capacity and wellbeing for generations to come.

The feedback received was both thoughtful and constructive, helping to shape our pathway forward while ensuring the voices of Waiohiki whānau remain at the heart of our mahi. We are grateful to Hinewai, the marae committee, and all those who contributed their time and whakaaro to this important kaupapa.
